I’ve Got A Feeling – Pittsburgh’s Going to the Super Bowl
What a day! What started out as an up and down game, filled with some of the hardest hits I’ve ever seen in an NFL game, turned out to be a glorious victory for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Earning us the 2nd Super Bowl trip in the last 4 years.
The game was incredible, except for one area I’ve been criticizing all year. Willie Parker up the middle, guys it isn’t working, let’s work on something else. Ok, enough of that. Our defense played very well, except for allowing the Ravens a few big plays and allowing McGahee to run on us. I knew a rookie QB would make some mistakes and the repeated pressure on him and good coverage caused many mistakes.
The road to Tampa has been set, we’ve got a week of rest to get everyone healthy, and we now have the opportunity to become the first NFL team with 6 Lombardi Trophies!
Here we go Steelers!

Back to Civilization and thoughts on Chargers Game
I’ve just returned from the Caribbean where I was forced to miss the trip back to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers and Chargers. I must admit, sitting in St. Maarten in 80 degree weather on the ocean wasn’t a bad trade off. I did get to see the game on TV and was very, very happy with the outcome.
The Steelers did what they needed to do in this game and came out on top, after the first possession that San Diego marched downfield and scored, I was a bit nervous. That quickly subsided after we matched them and took control of the game.
The third quarter was the highlight for me, we completely dominated by holding on to the ball and allowing the Chargers to gain ZERO yards during the third quarter. That is classic Steeler Defense and what we need to see tomorrow.
Let’s keep this momentum up and take the next step at winning Super Bowl #6!

Steeler Fanatic wins Fantasy Football League!
What a great way to start of the new year, walk into my office today and a box has arrived from Yahoo Fantasy Football! First, I’d like to thank all the little people that made this incredible year a reality… LOL
Inside the box was the trophy from one of the Fantasy Football leagues I was in this year, I was in 3rd place just about all year and during the playoffs, made a few critical moves that knocked off the 1st place team. This guy was dominating all year, he was 13-1 going into the playoffs and had beaten me twice already, hell, he kicked everyone’s butt in the league.
I made it to the Super Bowl and studied my team players and the teams they were playing against and made the right decisions. He on the other hand, had a very bad game with weather, injuries and teams resting players, all being huge factors.
So, here it is, the photo of the trophy!
Now, if my Steelers can bring home Lombardi Trophy Number 6, that would make this a very, very, very exciting year!!
