World Champions! I can’t believe it! After 26 years of ups and downs we finally got ‘One for the Thumb’. We had an unbelievable time in Detroit, the city was awesome, the people were friendly, the beer was cold, and the outcome is Priceless. Congratulations to everyone involved for a job well done.

We started the day out bright and early, heading downtown at around 11am. We were amazed at the amount of Steeler fans that were downtown already. If I had to guess, I would say there were over 100,000 Steeler Fans in the City of Detroit for the game. We couldn’t get into a sports bar at noon because they were already full of fans that weren’t going to the game. Tons of fans made the trip just to be in the excitement and experience the Super Bowl City.

Outside Hockeytown on gameday.

One of the most famous bars in Detroit is HockeyTown Cafe, a bar with several floors and more memorabilia than you could imagine. The place was full of Steeler fans and a Seahawk fan here and there. I honestly saw about 100 Seahawk fans all weekend. You can see looking at the photo of me outside of Hockeytown, there is no shortage of Steeler Fans.

This weekend was one of those memories that will last a lifetime. My Dad and I had the time of our lives and FINALLY got to see the Steelers get ‘One for the Thumb’. I’ve got plenty of time to write about stories from this past weekend, i’m going to sit back and enjoy this for a while!

Congratulations Steelers! Super Bowl XL Champions!

I’ve seen this blog a few times on some of the traffic exchange sites. I never commented because I am not a Steelers fan but I have to say I actually thought about this blog while watching the game. Congrats on the win… Enjoy it. I would talk trash about how the Raiders are going to rise to power again but … Art Shell is back… Enough said.

Congratulations on the win, personally I think the Bettis influence in winning the superbowl deserved all the hype
